カフェの庭でのんびりしていただくのも、寒霞渓や中山千枚田へ足を伸ばしていただくのも最高の季節。島の景色と一緒に、ほっとする時間を過ごしてもらえたら嬉しいです。 This year again, we received “Ooseto” rice seedlings from Mr. Fujimoto, a rice farmer at the foot of Kankakei Gorge, and we’re creating a mini terraced rice field in front of the MORIKUNI café.
We added a garden table to the area where the seedlings had been planted in previous years, so guests can relax and enjoy the garden. To make space for planting, we reshaped part of our herb hill into a terraced-field style and prepared the soil for the new “Ooseto” seedlings.
I’m hoping they grow well this year and am excited to watch their progress.
Whether you spend a slow moment in our garden or take a trip to Kankakei or the Nakayama Senmaida rice terraces, this season is perfect for enjoying the island’s beautiful scenery.
